Personal Information

Likes:
I am a bit of a joker. I like to make people laugh. It is my way of breaking the ice with new people. I am often quite nervous meeting new people, but if they know how to smile and laugh then I know they are good people.
I enjoy new things. Anything new counts, new foods, sensations, feelings, music.
I find lots of different foods delicious.
I like arts, but I don't think I am very good at it.
Unlike many other fire demons I find that my favorite thing, and the thing that makes me happiest is to make other people happy.

Dislikes:
I don't like people who are bullies or teasers. Because of how different I am from other fire demons. I have been teased and bullied by them and I don't like other people to feel how I felt, put down.
I also don't like people who refuse to help others. If you can make someone's time easier or more fruitful you should.

Fears:
My biggest fear is being alone. I am shy and it takes me a little bit to get to know you and be comfortable around you, but I fear being without friends.
There are other things I get nervous about, like heights, and prolonged time in freezers, but since I like new experiences I force myself to push past this nervousness and often get over my fears. Because of this I am not afraid of many things.

Strengths:
Fire: Although I don't hav complete control over the intensity of the fire or heat I have been able to control turning it on and off, well for the most part. My body still seems to be unnaturally warm most of the time. Like almost boiling water warm.
Loyalty: Once I know who my friends are I am extremely loyal to them. Need a hand? Take mine. Haha, seriously though friends are around to help each other out when the need arises, just ask, and as long as I don't have something of extreme importance already, I'm there to help.

Weaknesses:
Water: Going to the beach is cool. The water seems to make me feel cooler, but I often end up with fresh boiled fish for dinner.
Timidity: Yes, I'm loyal and and like to make friends, but if someone starts picking on me or bullying me I often back down and submit too easily. I need to learn to stand up for myself more. I'm more likely to defend someone else than I am myself.

Goals:
To make friends and help people become stronger/better themselves. What they want to be better themselves, not what other people want them to be. I want to know if there are others like myself that break out of the normal boundaries that they are expected to be. I have found a wonderful person who introduced me to Otherworlde and I hope to continue my newfound relationship with her.

Personality:
I am shy and meek at first because I always wonder if people have other reasons for talking to me. I am always wary of being teased or picked on and fear that everyone is going to. After I learn that isn't what people are doing, and they really want to become friends then I can often be seen at the center of the group trying to make people feel better and helping them. I don't often ask for help myself since I know everyone is busy with their own things. If I am not with any of my current friends I am often alone on the outside of groups hoping someone will notice me, but too shy to break into a group on my own.

History:
I have been picked on and bullied by many other fire demons, including my own family for being too timid and wanting to take part in arts. Because I was always put down by these people I don't believe that my own art is very good. I knew that not everyone could be this mean and cruel so I left my family and disowned them. I do not like my family and am especially wary of other fire demons because of this. I was also not able to learn from the others how to properly control my powers, or even what all of the powers I have are.
I eventually made my way near to Otherworlde where others seemed to be learning about themselves and becoming better at what they could do. Too shy to to apply myself I have been hanging around near the school hoping to learn from the bits and pieces of overheard information I could understand. I especially try to eavesdrop on other fire controllers, but you have to take knowledge where you can get it so I try to learn from anything I hear.

Misc. Information:
I like to spend time on the beach. People tend to leave you alone on the beach. I don't like going into the water around other people though as I tend to make it too hot for them.
I recently met another student from otherworlde, Narelle, and have been spending time with her when she isn't in class and am hoping our relationship is as close as I think it is.
I have been told that there is a smell of ash around me. So far there has been nothing I can do about it, but it's not too strong.

Gavin: *he walks across the shallow stream trying to keep up with the others. As his feet meet the water it steams around his ankles. He sighs because he had been trying not to do this again. He really wanted to learn to control his temperature so he could be closer to people without burning them, or making them uncomfortably warm. He looks up and sees her standing at the edge of the trees waiting for him and he smiled. He smiled because she was the only one that wanted be near him for very long. The others must have continued on.* Thanks for waiting for me. I'm glad you know where you're going. I would have gotten lost a while ago. Why do they like to come out so far into the woods to sing anyway?
